K-12 Green Schools

With financial support from the State Farm Youth Advisory Board, KIDS Consortium developed a set of resources to support K-12 students, teachers and community organizations interested in “greening” service-learning projects.

Service-Learning Project Examples .pdf – project ideas related to greening common spaces, composting and recycling, proper disposal of trash, planting shade trees, installation of solar panels and energy efficient lighting, designing a green house, reducing carbon footprints, and eliminating junk mail related to solid waste issues.
