Founded in 1992, by Marvin Rosenblum, the KIDS (Kids Involved Doing Service-Learning) model of service-learning helps young people gain the essential problem solving, communication and teamwork skills needed to address complex issues in their communities and succeed in a competitive global workforce. The KIDS model has been implemented across the country and has a proven track record of tremendous success for more than two and a half decades!

We believe that high quality service-learning instruction prepares students to use their knowledge and skills to solve community problems. Students who participate in service-learning gain the knowledge, attitudes and skills needed to become engaged citizens and impact environmental challenges that lie ahead. Our goals are to support teachers' science instruction, boost students' collaborative skills, and spark students' interest in future civic work.
