This session will help participants think about what Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is and how it is important to teach these skills to students when expecting them to collaborate in a service-learning project. Participants will look at how to design projects to support intentional connections to SEL outcomes.
Prerequisite: Registrants must have attended a 2 or 4 Day Service-Learning Training with us.
- Understand what SEL is and why it is important to intentionally teach these skills
- Explore what SEL look like in service learning
- Begin to think about what SEL skills your program should focus on and how you might teach those
