About the Workshop: This session will introduce participants to the concepts of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and help participants think about what SEL is and how/why it is important to teach these skills to students when expecting them to collaborate during a project or group setting, when in the classroom, during out of school time, or other types of youth development or program settings.

Getting excited to roll out a new project with 11 MA DOE After school and Out of School grantees on Friday. They will be writing service-learning curriculum this school year to implement this summer. The curriculum will follow the KIDS framework for service-learning with a strong focus on social and emotional learning (SEL.) We brought in Mike Anderson to help us learn more about SEL.
